YPP Committed to Distributing Viewers' Donations to Help Community Sanitation and Clean Water

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPAPK) is committed to supporting the government's move to realize 100% access to healthy sanitation and 100% drinking water through government and non-government synergies. YPAPK Chief Executive Abbas Yahya conveyed this when he had the opportunity to share best practices at the 2017 National Sanitation and Drinking Water Conference, recently in Jakarta.

"Thanks to the trust of our viewers, YPAPK has participated in many Sanitation and Drinking Water programs in various locations as a form of our concern for providing access to good and safe drinking water and sanitation," he said in front of KSAN 2017 participants. Abbas mentioned a number of YPAPK programs such as Mata Air Indosiar in Nias, Malang, Buleleng and Pandeglang; provision of grants and revolving funds for the construction of clean latrines in Patemon, Surabaya and Teluk Naga, Tangerang.
Mass media facilities at SCTV and Indosiar, according to Abbas, are an effective means to inspire people to live healthy and clean lives. Because, no matter how good the facilities are, if the awareness to live clean and healthy does not arise, it becomes useless.

KSAN 2017, which was attended by Minister of National Planning Bambang Brojonegoro and Minister of Health Nila S Moeloek, took place on November 7, 2017. The government is committed to achieving Sanitation and Safe Water as the realization of Sustainable Development Goals.
