YPP - BNI - SPBK PERDAMI Holds Cataract Surgery on Morotai Island

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPAPK) SCTV Indosiar together with BNI, SPBK Perdami and Morotai Regency Government held a Mass Cataract Operation at Morotai Hospital, Morotai Island, North Maluku.

This BNI-supported activity financed the Cataract surgery performed by Perdami for 200 patients from Morotai Regency.

Morotai Island is one of the remote, outermost and foremost islands in Indonesia. Bordering the Philippines, reaching Morotai with surgery equipment and medicines is not easy. The team had to travel by sea and land due to monsoon winds. The support of the ranks and cooperation with Polda made the challenge surmountable.
