YPP SCTV Indosiar Holds Cataract Surgeries to Celebrate 81st Independence Day

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) Emtek Media, in collaboration with the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services (Kemenimipas), PERDAMI Jakarta Branch, and EMC Pulomas Hospital, organized a Cataract Surgery Social Action on August 10–12, 2026. Held in commemoration of the 81st Indonesian Independence Day, the initiative served correctional inmates from DK Jakarta as well as residents of North Cipinang Besar, East Jakarta.

The event commenced with medical screenings at the Jakarta Correctional Hospital for 162 prospective patients, accompanied by an opening ceremony attended by Drs. Agus Andrianto, S.H., M.H. (Minister of Immigration and Correctional Services), Mr. Imam Sudjarwo (President Director of Indosiar & CSR Director of Emtek Media), and Mr. Stan Maringka (Independent Commissioner of PT Emtek Tbk).

Surgical procedures were performed at EMC Pulomas Hospital, supported by 7 ophthalmologists from PERDAMI Jakarta. The operation was reviewed on-site by Mr. Imam Sudjarwo, Drs. Mashudi (Director General of Correctional Services, Kemenimipas), and drg. Nailufar (Marketing Director of EMC Healthcare). A total of 82 patients successfully underwent surgery—comprising 59 correctional inmates and 23 local residents—followed by post-operative care the next day.
