Ramadan Blood Donation in Yogyakarta

SCTV Indosiar's Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP), together with the Yogyakarta City PMI Blood Donation Unit and the Yogyakarta Gedhe Kauman Mosque, held another Ramadan Blood Donation program this year. The activities were held on April 8, 2023, following the theme of "Spreading Kindness in a Month Full of Blessings".

Located at the Gedhe Kauman Mosque’s porch in Yogyakarta, blood donation collection began at 04.00p.m. and lasted until 11.00p.m. WIB. The Yogyakarta City PMI Blood Donation Unit deployed 28 AFTP officers, 7 doctors & anamnesis, 4 HB officers, and 21 other officers to support the running of this activity.

A total of 372 blood bags were collected from 514 registrants. 13 other people failed to donate blood, while the other 129 did not pass the screening.

This activity was attended by the Chairman of the Yogyakarta City PMI’s Management, Inspector General of Police (Ret.) Drs. R.M. Haka Astana M.W., S.H. and Chairman of PMI DIY, GBPH Prabukusumo who supervised the blood donation activities while communicating with blood donors themselves.

PMI Yogyakarta City and DIY extend heartfelt gratitude towards YPP SCTV Indosiar, Takmir Gedhe Kauman Yogyakarta Mosque, and communities that generously contributed to the blood donations. They have expressed hope that the donated blood will adequately fulfill stocks throughout the fasting month until Eid al-Fitr.

YPP SCTV Indosiar provided 465 portions of meals for donors and staff. The YPP SCTV Indosiar Ramadan Blood Donation activities will continue in Surabaya City, Malang City, and the Sidoarjo Regency.
