In addition to PHBS counseling and handwashing practice, YPAPK also conducts Healthy Lifestyle & Positive Socialization counseling programs that educate children about the harmful effects of drugs and LGBT in general. This counseling is important for elementary school children as they have easy access to information from various media, especially their living environment, which will greatly affect their attitudes and behavior.
In this program, which took place from 12 to 14 September 2017 at MI Sa'adatuddrain, YPAPK collaborated with Kak Resha (a children's storyteller) who opened the children's minds with interesting material and adapted to their psychology, so that it could be accepted and absorbed more easily.
The materials provided for grades 6, 5, and 4 included:
How to live a healthy life (consume good food, rest, worship)
How to choose a good association (choosing friends, because friends affect the way we think and act)
In addition to the material that has been delivered by the teachers, it is hoped that this counseling can help children better understand what is good and not good in consuming something, as well as in socializing, so that later they can become the nation's successors who are smart, independent and have character.
