Free Cataract Surgery in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) and Yayasan Karya Alpha Omega (YKAO) held a Katarak Daratan Timor Social Service Operation in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs' Efata Center, the Indonesian Ophthalmologist Association (PERDAMI), and the Congregation of the Daughters of Reinha Rosari (PRR). The event took place at Naibonat Regional General Hospital in Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, where 194 cataract patients successfully underwent surgery.

Cataract patients come from districts/cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province such as Belu District, South Central Timor, North Central Timor, Kupang, Kupang City, Rote Ndao District, and East Flores. Patients who live far away are transported and accommodated at Sentra Efata Kupang.
