Free Cataract Surgery in Lembata

Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV Indosiar has collaborated with the Cataract Blindness Management Section of Central Perdami and the Lembata Regency Government organized a Cataract Surgery Social Service at Lewoleba Hospital, Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, on June 22-23, 2024.

This activity was supported by 15 medical personnel. A total of 158 cataract patients successfully underwent surgery. The patients came from Lembata Regency and beyond, such as East Flores, namely Adonara Island. This cataract surgery social service is sure to be very beneficial for the community, as the number of cataract patients is quite high despite the lack of ophthalmologists in Lembata.
