YPP and the Garbara Foundation Provide Public Restrooms to the Community of Timboa, Boyolali, Central Java

YPP handed over 10 toilets constructed with the donations from Indosiar-SCTV viewers in Margomulyo Hamlet, Ngadirodjo Village, Timboa, Boyolali. On January 17, 2022, the handover was carried out by the General Manager of YPP, Abas Yahya to a representative of the community, Simin.

Before the provision of these restrooms, residents defecated using 'cubluk' toilets, leading to inadequate sanitation practices. YPP built 10 restrooms in collaboration with volunteers from the Garbara Foundation (Garda Bangsa Sejahtera) and the local community.

Margomulyo Hamlet, located on the climbing route to Mount Merbabu at an altitude of 1400 MDPL, is about 45 minutes from the city of Salatiga where the climate is cool and the population’s livelihood rely on farming tobacco and vegetables.
