In addition to distributing aid after the disaster that occurred in West Nusa Tenggara, Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) also participated in the recovery that is being carried out for the people of West Nusa Tenggara by holding a Television Journalism Sharing Session: NTB Bangkit on December 14 and 15, 2018 at Muhammadiyah Mataram University, Hanzanwadi University, STIE AMM Mataram and Mataram State Islamic University, in collaboration with the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID).
In the event, the participants shared stories about the ups and downs of media determining news, journalists in conflict areas, journalism versus hoax news and humanitarian journalism in grief and disaster areas.
This activity was carried out considering that there are so many fake news (hoaxes) circulating during disasters. Therefore, YPP invited two Liputan 6 SCTV presenters, @djati_darma and @dazenvrilla to share knowledge and share stories to increase the knowledge of the participants who are expected to help educate the local community in anticipating hoaxes.
