YPP SCTV Indosiar Holds Free Cataract Surgery Activity for Sumedang Residents

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar, in collaboration with PERDAMI West Java and the Sumedang Regency Government, organized a Cataract Surgery Humanitarian Action on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. The event was held at the Sumedang Cataract Center Building, West Java, as part of an effort to provide eye health access for underprivileged residents.

This humanitarian action was supported by a professional medical team consisting of 8 ophthalmologists and 4 medical staff from PERDAMI West Java. Through this synergy, the medical team successfully performed surgeries on 100 eyes. The presence of these experts ensured that every patient received high-quality medical treatment in accordance with health standards.

This initiative has provided significant benefits to residents in Sumedang and its surrounding areas, considering the high prevalence of cataracts and the high cost of independent surgery. Through this program, Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih remains committed to helping people regain their sight so they can return to their daily activities more productively.
