
Emtek Peduli Corona, YPP SCTV Indosiar, and Bukalapak distributed thousands of food packages to residents in two villages affected by the eruption of Mount Merapi on February 12, 2021. Using three large trucks, 2000 food packages were transported to two villages: Paten Village and Krinjing Village in Dukun Sub-district, Magelang, Central Java who were affected by the eruption of Mount Merapi. The packages contained: 5 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of flour, 1 liter of cooking oil, and 2 cloth masks.
In the first location, Paten Village, Dukun Sub-district, Magelang, a symbolic handover of 1200 food packages was conducted to the Head of Paten Village, Sutarno. In addition, the YPP team also distributed food packages directly to the houses in Babadan 2 Hamlet, which is 4 km away from Mount Merapi. While in the second location, Krinjing Village, YPP handed over 800 food packages to its residents. In this village, YPP also handed over food packages to four officers of the Babadan Merapi Volcano Observation Post who are on duty for 2 x 24 hours to monitor the condition of Mount Merapi.
