YPP SCTV Indosiar Distributes Food Packages to Residents on the Slopes of Merapi and Kotagede Silver Craftsmen, Yogyakarta

Emtek Peduli Corona YPP SCTV Indosiar and Bukalapak distributed 240 food packages to residents in three hamlets of Mriyan Village, Tamansari District, Boyolali Regency on February 13, 2021. The three hamlets affected by the Merapi eruption are Ngaliyan, Kawengan, and Mriyan. Afterwards, the YPP team continued to distribute 30 food packages to Gesangan Village, Suruh, Semarang which is not far from Mriyan Village.

In addition to handing over food packages to residents, Emtek Peduli Corona YPP SCTV Indosiar and Bukalapak also handed over 350 food packages through Ranting Muhammadiyah (Prenggan) Kota Gede, Yogyakarta for silver craftsmen, angkringan traders, and other MSMEs affected by COVID-19. The activity was carried out on February 14, 2021 where the team handed over food packages containing 5 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of wheat flour, and 2 cloth masks. Attending this event were the Chairman of YPP, Imam Sudjarwo, accompanied by the Chief Executive of YPP, Abas Yahya.

Still on the same day in Kotagede, Emtek Peduli Corona YPP SCTV Indosiar and Bukalapak continued the distribution of food packages for residents affected by the eruption of Mount Merapi in Dukuh Kalitengah Lor, Glagaharjo Village, Kapanewon Cangkringan, Sleman. There were 185 packages containing 5 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of flour, and 2 cloth masks. The food packages were handed over by the Chairman of YPP, Imam Sudjarwo, to several representatives of Glagaharjo Village residents. At the time of the Merapi eruption, residents of vulnerable groups, namely children, pregnant women, the sick, and the elderly took refuge in Glagaharjo village hall for 81 days.

Dari Desa Glagaharjo, Tim bergerak menembus hujan deras dan kabut tebal untuk melanjutkan kegiatan pembagian sembako ini ke Desa Balerante, Kemalang, Klaten sebanyak 165 paket sembako berisikan 5 kg beras, 1 kg gula, 1 kg tepung terigu, 2 buah masker kain. Terdapat enam dukuh di desa ini yang terdampak erupsi Gunung Merapi yaitu Sambungrejo, Sukorejo, Gondang, Karangrejo, Gelo dan Ngipiksari. Warga keenam dukuh ini tidak dapat mencari nafkah saat erupsi Meerapi dan beberapa minggu setelah erupsi mereda. Di tengah cuaca berhujan, Ketua Umum YPP Bapak Imam Sudjarwo mendatangi rumah warga menyerahkan sembako secara langsung.

There were six hamlets in this village affected by the eruption of Mount Merapi, namely Sambungrejo, Sukorejo, Gondang, Karangrejo, Gelo, and Ngipiksari. Residents of these six hamlets were unable to make a living during the eruption and several weeks after the eruption subsided. In the midst of rainy weather, the Chairman of YPP, Imam Sudjarwo, went to the residents' houses to hand over the food packages directly.
