YPP Provides GeNose Equipment for Early Detection of COVID Patients to Two Clinics in Jakarta and Bogor

Emtek Peduli Corona Program and YPP SCTV Indosiar handed over 2 GeNose C19 equipment, as well as HEPA filters and breathing bags to help detect COVID 19 patients through VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) analysis from a person's breath, as these compounds only appear in people infected with COVID 19. The two tools were handed over to the St. Tarcisius Cidodol Primary Clinic and the Kebayoran Baru St. John the Evangelist Primary Clinic managed by the St. John the Evangelist Parish Church. The second tool was handed over to the Parung Panjang Community Health Center, Bogor.

Handover of the equipment to the Primary Clinic was received by Father Antonius Dhimas Hardjuna Sj- as Head Parish Pastor and Dr. Fransisca Diah Ambarwati as the Service Coordinator. The clinic’s patients are not limited to members of the church, as they are open to the general public, too. It was recorded that as many as 2000 elderly residents and 3000 church members often visit the clinic for its health services. On the other hand, Wawan Suswanto, Deputy Head of the Parung Panjang Community Health Center, Bogor, was overjoyed to receive the GeNose equipment that would aid in mitigating the COVID 19 virus amongst residents. At this Community Health Center, his team treats 150-300 patients every day.

Adding to the GeNose equipment, YPP also handed over supporting equipment for each machine, namely 500 breathing bags, 11 Hepa Filters, 10 N95 masks, and 400 cloth masks for the two Primary Clinics of St. John the Evangelist Parish Church, while the Parung Panjang Community Health Center received 12 Hepa Filters, 396 Breath Bags, 20 N95 masks, and 250 Cloth Masks.
