YPP Holds Educational Tour on Media Literacy with the Help of a Storyteller

On Friday, September 30, 2022, Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation SCTV Indosiar held the Media Literacy Education program at Pondok Labu State Elementary School 16, South Jakarta. YPP brought in the storyteller, Kak Resha, who taught the kids all about media literacy. The activities were divided into 2 sessions. The first session was held at the prayer room for students in 1st to 4th grade, while the second session was held at the classroom for students in 5th to 6th grade.

The students were reported to have been very enthusiastic about the activities and actively participated by asking questions throughout the event. As a form of appreciation, YPP presented gifts to students who were willing to come forward and take part in the activities. The gifts provided were 100 books and 100 pens. The Mobil Weli (Bookmobile) was also brought along to let students read books they enjoy and watch educational videos.

The principal of Pondok Labu State Elementary School 16, Yani Supraptiningsih, expressed gratitude for YPP’s initiative in holding this activity that would be beneficial for the students. It is hoped that, in the future, members of the younger generation will be able to interact with modern media wisely and appropriately.
