YPP Distributes Food Packages for 5 Days to Residents Affected by Merapi Eruption and COVID 19 in Yogyakarta, Magelang, and Surrounding Areas

From February 13 to February 16, the YPP team had been working nonstop in Yogyakarta, Magelang, and the surrounding areas to distribute food packages to residents affected by the Merapi eruption, as well as the COVID 19 virus. The YPP team was assisted by residents around SCTV Indosiar Transmission in Ngoro-Oro Village and members of various different communities to distribute 5,000 food packages in collaboration with Bukalapak. The distribution highlights the concerns of SCTV Indosiar viewers, Bukalapak Users, Liputan6.com, and Vidio.com as members of the Emtek Group. A total of 100 food packages from the Emtek Peduli Corona YPP SCTV Indosiar and Bukalapak program were delivered to residents around the SCTV Indosiar Yogyakarta transmission station who live in Salaran Hamlet and Gunungasem Hamlet, Ngoro Oro Village, Patuk, Gunung Kidul. Head of Transmission of SCTV Indosiar, Suharjanto, handed over the package on behalf of the management of both companies and YPP.

Joining hands with the Mahaguru Merapi Community, YPP distributed 50 food packages to residents affected by the eruption of Mount Merapi and COVID 19 in Umbulmartani, Ngemplak, Sleman.

Still within Yogyakarta and its surroundings, on the fifth day, YPP distributed 165 food packages to residents affected by the eruption in Tlogolele Village, Selo, Boyolali. A symbolic handover was conducted by Tlogolele's village secretary, Neigen Achtah Nur Edy Saputra. Neigen expressed his gratitude for the food packages from Emtek Peduli Corona, hoping that the distribution would be helpful and highlight SCTV Indosiar viewers' good deeds. After the symbolic handover, YPP and the village secretary distributed the food packages to residents of Stabelan, Tlogolele Village in the KRB 3 area located 3 km from Merapi Summit.

In Tlogolele, YPP also handed over assistance from Home Tester in the form of

• 25 bottles of Shampoo (80 ml)
• 10 cans of Milk for children aged 1-3 years old (400 gr)
• 5 boxes of Soy Milk for children aged 1-3 years old (600 gr)
• 6 packets of Fabric Deodorizer
• 40 Water Bottles for children
• 41 Chocolate Drinks
• 14 packets of Instant Coffee
• 23 bags of Soy Sauce

Next, YPP joined hands with Binsar Peduli and distributed 50 food packages to residents affected by COVID 19, including the disabled and residents of Daarul Qolbi Orphanage in Prigen Village, Ngemplak, Sleman.

Emtek Peduli Corona YPP SCTV Indosiar also distributed 150 food packages to residents affected by the eruption of Mount Merapi in Dukuh Turgo, Purwobinangun, Pakem, Sleman. The food package distribution was done in Sanjaya Tritis Elementary School, Padukuhan Turgo, where YPP handed over the packages to the head of Dukuh Turgo, Misran, who will then distribute the packages to the village's residents. According to Misran, many residents have not been able to go back to their day-to-day activities due to the eruption, therefore the food package assistance from viewers of SCTV and Indosiar, as well as users of Bukalapak and Vidio.com is very useful.

The food package distribution activities in Yogyakarta and its surroundings continued in Salaran, Ngoro Oro Village, whose residents have been volunteers in the food aid distribution for about 5 days through rocky and muddy terrains. They have helped load and unload the food packages to be distributed to the residents day and night without fail.
