YPP Distributes Food and Masks for the Mentally Disabled in Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta and Residents of Lebak Nangka, Bogor

Some time ago, the YPP Team handed over aid to a number of residents in two locations: Lebak Nangka in Bogor and Tri Asih Foundation in Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta.

To the Tri Asih Foundation that houses people with mental disabilities, Emtek Peduli Corona distributed food packages through YPP to the foundation located at Jl. Budi Swadaya No. 6, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. A total of 100 food packages (5 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar, 1 kg of flour, and 4 packets of instant noodles) and 200 cloth masks were handed over to the Foundation’s management. 

Tri Asih Foundation is a foundation that works for the rehabilitation and habilitation of people with mental disabilities. According to Yusuf, administrator of Tri Asih Foundation, they currently care for 228 people with mental disabilities, of whom 51 live in the orphanage and the other 177 live in their respective homes. The 51 who live in the orphanage are classified with severe disabilities, thus unable to care for themselves and must be supervised, while the other 177 people are classified as mildly disabled. They study online like other normal children, but with a different curriculum, and are still able to interact normally with their parents, such as helping or taking instructions from them. 

The Tri Asih Foundation management expressed their gratitude for the food packages from Emtek Peduli Corona YPP SCTV Indosiar and Bukalapak. This assistance counts as a meaningful contribution to the food supply in Tri Asih Foundation. They hope that the Corona Pandemic will quickly pass so that they can continue their activities and provide better care for the children.

Sementara itu, di tempat yang terpisah, Emtek Peduli Corona melalui YPP SCTV Indosiar menyalurkan 200 paket Sembako dan 400 buah Masker Kain kepada warga Warga Rt. 06 Rw.02 Kp. Lebak Nangka Ds. Kadumanggu Kec. Babakan Madang Kab. Bogor. Paket Sembako yang berisi 5 kg beras, 1 kg gula pasir, 1 kg tepung terigu dan 4 bungkus mie instant diterima dengan gembira oleh warga Kp. Lebak Nangka karena mereka banyak yang belum mendapat bantuan sembako dari pemerintah.
