Trauma Healing for Children Affected by the Sumatra Flash Floods and Landslides in Aceh Tamiang

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar collaborated with Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Universitas Islam Indonesia (IKA UII) and Mahasiswa Pecinta Alam Universitas Islam Indragiri (Mapala Unisi) organized a Trauma Healing Activity for Children Affected by Flash Floods and Landslides at two locations in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, on January 9, 2026.

The first location was at MAN 2 Aceh Tamiang, attended by 90 students, and the second location was in Jaya Baru Hamlet, Bandar Khalifa Village, Tamiang Hulu Subdistrict, attended by 75 children and parents. Together with Ka Resha, they were invited to learn, play together, tell stories, and draw. The children were very happy and enthusiastic about participating in this activity.

The Trauma Healing activity provided some comfort to them amid the current challenging situation following the natural disaster, where many of their homes were damaged and destroyed by flash floods and landslides in late November 2025.

During the activity, YPP also distributed 192 pieces of snacks and 202 boxes of UHT milk.
