Santri of Ash Shiddiqi Islamic Boarding School Receive 'Idul Fitri Gifts', New Dormitory Building & Food Packages

The students of the Ash Shiddiqi Curahlele Education Foundation, Balung, Jember, especially the female students, were happy to receive the women's dormitory building on Saturday, May 23, 2020 or the day before Eid al-Fitr. The building is the result of rehabilitation .of the old women's dormitory building which is very unfit to live in. The rebuilding of the dormitory has been carried out since March 2020, funded by donations from SCTV and Indosiar viewers through the Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation. On that occasion, 500 packages of basic necessities, 2000 soaps and 2000 masks were also handed over to the caretaker of the Foundation so that they could be distributed to the community around the Pondok, most of whom are underprivileged.

The handover activity was carried out by Firdaus Juned, Head of SCTV Indosiar Transmission Station for the Jember area. Chairman of the Ash Shiddiqi Education Foundation, KH Mas Muchlisnaluddin was very grateful to welcome the financial support and also the distribution of food packages through his institution. "We will distribute these packages to those who are entitled, as well as masks and soap, so that the community, especially the students, understand correctly the importance of implementing health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid 19 in the Balung area." he said. 

The distribution of food packages in the framework of Emtek Peduli Corona through the Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation was also carried out at a number of SCTV Indosiar transmission stations targeting local residents affected by Covid 19 transmission, thus disrupting their daily income. Among others, food packages were distributed in Bengkulu and Semarang transmissions.
