Routine Mass Cataract Surgery at RSCM Kirana, Jakarta

Saturday, January 19, 2019, at RSCM Kirana Jakarta, a free Mass Cataract Surgery social service was held for underpriviledged residents in the Jabodetabek area. This social activity, which is routinely held every 2-3 months, is carried out as a form of YPP's commitment to assist the government program of "Indonesia Bebas Buta Katarak 2020".

A total of 65 patients who passed the screening from 90 participants who registered three weeks earlier at the Kana Clinic (YKAO) underwent surgery performed by a team of ophthalmologists from Perdami Jaya and will undergo a postoperative examination on January 20, 2019 at RSCM Kirana.

It is hoped that this social activity in collaboration with YPP, Karya Alfa Omega (YKAO), Perdami Jaya and RSCM Kirana can help reduce the number of cataract backlogs in Indonesia and restore the degree of life of cataract patients because they can return to being independent people.
