Ramadan Blood Donation in Surabaya Collects 1,085 Blood Bags

A total of 1,085 blood bags were collected from 1,330 registrants who wanted to donate blood at the UTD PMI Surabaya Office. The activity, which was held for two days, May 28-29, 2019 from 09.00 - 21.00, aims to secure blood supply during the fasting month and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

Head of UTD PMI Surabaya Dr. Hj. Budi Arifah thanked YPP SCTV Indosiar for the umpteenth time working with PMI Surabaya City, according to him the blood supply of PMI Surabaya City is still sufficient and can even send supplies to PMI networks in Lamongan, Pamekasan, to outside the province.

Nationally, the number of donors decreases during the fasting month, but in Surabaya City it only drops by 10 percent. In addition to Surabaya, the Ramadhan Blood Donation activity "Meraih Berkah Dengan Donor Darah" was also held in Malang and Gresik. It is hoped that this activity can help our brothers and sisters who need blood.
