Media Literacy at Manggarai State Elementary School 01

On May 30, 2024, YPP held a media literacy activity in the theme of anti-bullying, social media safety and anti-pornography at Manggarai 01 State Elementary School. 

The Principal of Manggarai 01 State Elementary School expressed her gratitude on behalf of the school for the activities conducted by YPP SCTV Indosiar which are very useful for children to be wise in using social media and to understand and aware of the negative exposure of pornography which is very detrimental to children which can greatly disrupts the process of mental development, including learning concentration.

The session focused on using social media wisely, anti-bullying, and the dangers pornography in social media poses to daily relationships. With the knowledge gained from the program, students are expected to be able to use social media wisely and overcome the risks of pornography.

The counseling was given by ATVI Lecturers in the form of interactive games, magic and educational video screenings that incited enthusiam in the children, thus allowing them to abosrb information easily and happily.  

This event emphasizes on the utmost importance for children to be wise with social media, and so must continue to familiarize themselves with reading, following the idea of Generation Alpha as a "Visual and Intelligent Generation".
