Media Literacy at Johar Baru 03 State Elementary School, Central Jakarta

On October 22, 2024, YPP held a Media Literacy activity with the theme of Anti-bullying, Social Media Wisdom, and Anti Pornography at Johar Baru 03 State Elementary School (SDN). 380 students attended this activity.

The Headmaster of SDN Johar Baru 03 expressed their gratitude for the activities held by YPP SCTV Indosiar, pointing out the activity's benefits for children, such as encouraging wisdom when interacting with social media and explaining the dangers of negative exposure to pornography. The exposure poses detrimental effects to their minds, interfering with important cognitive development including learning concentration.

The activity's focus on social media safety, anti-bullying, and the dangers of pornography found in social media and daily relationships aim to guide children to a path of wisdom and responsibility by providing them with important knowledge and awareness.

The activity was led by a team of ATVI-IMDE Lecturers who played interactive games, provided educational videos, and various simulations that were engaging for the children, making the learning process enjoyable and fun.

In addition, this activity also emphasized the importance for children to be wise in using social media and to continue to familiarize themselves with reading, following the idea of Generation Alpha as a "Visual and Intelligent Generation".
