Mass Circumcision in Koja, North Jakarta

Circumcision, or khitan, is a highly recommended practice in Islam, serving as both a core identity for Muslim males and a fundamental obligation for parents toward their sons. By undergoing circumcision, a Muslim fulfills his religious requirements more perfectly.

As part of their commitment to social welfare, religious growth, and humanitarian efforts, the Tahfidz Sulaimaniyah Foundation of DKI Jakarta, in collaboration with YPP Indosiar SCTV, held a mass circumcision event on December 22 and 23, 2025. This initiative aimed to provide direct benefits to the community, particularly underprivileged families in need of medical circumcision services for their children.

While the program set an overall target of 1,500 children, 200 of these participants were fully sponsored by YPP. It is hoped that this activity will continue to facilitate children from low-income families in accessing essential medical procedures that promote long-term health while fulfilling their religious duties.
