Free Medical Treatment and Distribution of Supplies to Victims of the Sumatra Floods and Landslides in Malalak, Agam Regency

The Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV Indosiar, together with the Karya Alpha Omega Foundation (YKAO) and Pakuwon Group, provided assistance to residents affected by flash floods and landslides in Jorong Limo Badak, Nagari Malalak Timur, Malalak District, Agam Regency, on December 6, 2025.

This location was the first site of flash floods and landslides in West Sumatra. To reach the location, the team had to pass through muddy roads and cross rivers.

The assistance provided included free medical treatment for 224 patients.

The community was very enthusiastic about this activity, as it was the first time a medical team had provided free medical treatment in their location.

Most residents are farmers. The flood and landslide devastated their farmland, significantly impacting their economy.

When the team finished the activity, heavy rain hit the location. The team faced difficulties crossing the river due to rising water levels and strong currents. The team and other volunteers were assisted using an excavator to cross the river.
