Free Cataract Surgery in Lebong, Bengkulu

On July 6-7, 2024, Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP) SCTV Indosiar, in collaboration with the Central Board of Cataract Blindness Management Section (SPBK PP) PERDAMI, organized a Cataract Surgery Social Service in commemoration of the 64th Adhyaksa Bhakti Day in 2024 at Lebong General Hospital, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province on July 6-7, 2024.

This activity was supported by 18 ophthalmologists and medical personnel from Palembang, Bengkulu, Lubuklinggau and Prabumulih. A total of 103 cataract patients were successfully operated on in this cataract surgery activity.

This cataract surgery social service activity is very beneficial for the Lebong community. Because the number of cataract sufferers is high, but the high cost of surgery has resulted in many people not being able to undergo surgery independently.
