Free Cataract Surgery in Cianjur, West Java

Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) SCTV Indosiar, in collaboration with the Central Management of Cataract Blindness Management Section (SPBK PP) PERDAMI, organized a Free Cataract Surgery Social Service at Sayang Regional Hospital, Cianjur Regency, West Java on December 14, 2024. This activity was supported by 11 ophthalmologists and medical personnel. A total of 179 cataract patients were successfully operated on. The patients came from Cianjur Regency and its surrounding areas.

This social service activity is very beneficial for the people of Cianjur Regency and its surroundings because the number of cataract patients is quite high. However, the high cost of surgery means that they cannot perform the surgery themselves.
