YPP provided consumption for Health Workers in the form of Lunch Boxes and Snack Boxes with a total of 500 portions for 10 days, starting from September 22 to October 1, 2021. Apart from that, YPP also distributed 2000 cloth masks to participants of the vaccination program.
This activity is Phase II of Vaksinasi Merdeka which was held simultaneously in the buffer zone of the capital city, after previously carrying out Phase I of Vaksinasi Merdeka in 5 major areas of DKI Jakarta on August 1 to 17, 2021. The vaccines given in this activity were Sinovac vaccines, both the first and second dose for the general public aged 12 to 59 with a target of 150 people per outlet. The total number of vaccine outlets from the East Ciputat Police is 39 outlets.
Located at the ITB-Ahmad Dahlan Campus (Outlet no. 736) in Cirendeu Village, Ciputat, South Tangerang, a symbolic handover was conducted by YPP of consumption support for health workers and cloth masks for the vaccination’s organizers, namely the East Ciputat Police. Today's Vaksinasi Merdeka activity was attended by the Chief Executives of YPP, Abas Yahya and Dewi Yudho Miranti, as well as the East Ciputat Police Chief, Police Commissioner Yulianto.
According to the East Ciputat Police Chief, Commissioner Yulianto, many were enthusiastic about the vaccination, but were hampered by a lack of accessible transportation to the vaccine outlet. For this reason, his party formed a team to pick up community members who wanted to be vaccinated. To also make it easier for people to come to the outlets, the East Ciputat Police has provided 3 vaccine outlets in each sub-district in locations where many people have not received the vaccine. This vaccination activity highlights efforts to suppress the transmission of COVID-19. The East Ciputat Police Chief hopes that with more people being vaccinated, COVID-19 cases will decrease.
Annisa, a resident of Cirendeu Village who participated in the vaccinations, admitted that she was only able to take the vaccine now because she was exposed to COVID-19 last June, requiring her to wait 3 months before receiving the vaccine. She believes that people who have not been vaccinated should immediately come to the outlet for the sake of our health and the opportunity to resume our normal lives before the pandemic once again.
