Empowering the Community through Barista Training

On February 14 and 15 2023, Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation, Bahtera Maju Indonesia Foundation, and the Palembang City Industry Service conducted a barista training workshop for 20 participants from 6 small coffee shops in Palembang City. Apart from acquiring theoretical knowledge on coffee making, participants could also practice what they have learned with the guidance of teachers from Palembang’s "House of Beverage" with whom they learn to make coffee popular with the current era of customers. The assistance provided by YPP included: coffee making equipment such as grinders, French press, V60, coffee serving glasses, as well as shop revitalization assistance such as neon signs, shop signs, cafe counters, and folding table chairs. The workshop aims to provide additional skills and experience for participants who previously only sold instant coffee, enabling them to sell a wider variety of coffee drinks. The participants were grateful for the workshop held by YPP.
