Distribution of Medical Aid and Logistics for Residents Affected by the Sunda Strait Tsunami at the Cihonje Post

The YPP, YKAO and Kampung Volunteers team headed to the second location of logistics distribution and medical assistance for residents affected by the Sunda Strait tsunami, namely the Cihonje Post located in Sumur sub-district.

The incessant rain since after Dzuhur made residents and refugees somewhat reluctant to come to the medical location at the Ujung Kulon National Park Resort in the Ketapang Region. Only 58 patients came for treatment, while the evacuees went into the forest and stayed in saung to keep an eye on their cultivated land, according to Mr. Tarsa, Head of the Ujung Kulon National Park Resort Ketapang Region.

A total of 125 bags of rice @ 5kg, 8 cartons of sardines, 3 boxes of sanitary napkins, 50 baby diapers and 25 boxes of mineral water were handed over to 200 households and the plan is that refugees in the forest will also be given assistance, because only a small number of residents who live in refugee tents are distributed by BNPB, including two elderly Mr. Sarip (70) and Mrs. Robiah (68) who are quite difficult because they live in refugee camps, but their conditions have been examined by the YKAO medical team and given vitamins.
