Celebrating Majalengka City's 531st Anniversary, YPP–AO Care and the West Jakarta PERDAMI Hold Free Cataract Surgeries

Celebrating the 531st Anniversary of Majalengka City, on June 8, 2021. YPP Indosiar-SCTV along with AO Care and the West Jakarta PERDAMI held a cataract surgery social service program for the underprivileged, aiming to treat 50 eyes. The event was attended by the Regent of Majalengka, Dr. H. Karna Sobahi, M. M. Pd. Participants of the surgery came from Majalengka, working as farm and factory laborers. They claimed to have really felt the benefits of this activity, as the surgery would not have been possible without the program due to a lack of financial means. Some patients expressed joy, hopeful for the opportunity to see again.

Of course, this social activity did not forget to enforce health protocols, remembering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
