On May 11, 2024, YPP provided financial assistance for the treatment of an infant patient suffering from Atresia Ani or Anus Imperforata named Avni Kirana Janubah who is 1 year and 8 months old. Avni is the youngest child of Mr. Sumpena and Mrs. Tita Karwati. Mr. Sumpena works as a street busker and sometimes a fish bowl street vendor, while Mrs. Tita is a housewife.
At birth, Avni's parents were told that their child did not have an anus or drain. So all this time, the disposal of food waste was done through the urinary tract in the child's vagina. Avni was advised to be examined at the Garut Regional Hospital and the result was that she should be immediately treated at RSHS Bandung which has complete facilities. Due to panic and confusion about the high cost of treatment, while her father's income was only around Rp 35,000 to Rp 60,000, - and often received assistance from his parents, they applied for assistance from Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP). YPP then brought Avni to undergo treatment at EMC Sentul Hospital in collaboration with the Ciburial Village Government.
Dr. Leo Rendy, Sp.B(K).Ped immediately recommended that Avni get immediate treatment because her intestines were enlarged from holding her feces all this time. If not addressed immediately, it is feared that it will disturb the nerves in Avni's colon. On May 11, 2024, Avni successfully underwent the first surgery to create a colostomy and will wait for the second operation after 30 days of the first surgery.
