Aiding Residents Affected by the Tornado in West Java

On December 29, 2023, at around 05.15 PM, a tornado occurred in Ciburial Village, Cimenyan District, Bandung Regency, West Java which resulted in damaged homes, fallen trees, and collapsed roofs. The tornado impacted 8 villages, causing light damage in 142 houses and heavy damage in 16 houses, with an affected population of 180 families and 532 individuals.

On January 5-6, 2024, YPP extended assistance by delivering 383 roofs to the Head of Ciburial Village at the disaster site. Distribution to residents promptly followed, with efforts made to expedite the process ahead of the rainy season.

Asep Rahmat, as Head of Ciburial Village representing the residents of Ciburial, expressed his gratitude to YPP SCTV Indosiar for providing assistance.

Entin Kartini &  H. Abdul Mujib, representing the residents, expressed joy and gratitude for YPP’s help in renovating the affected houses.

YPP had also provided additional assistance in the form of 50 Eucalyptus Oil and Children's Powder for local mothers and their children, as well as 4 boxes of bottled coffee for fathers who assisted in repairing residents' houses.
